GOD CARES FOR ME
A. “God cares for me” is hard for some to believe
B. It is good to know that I can cast all of my care upon God
C. What does it mean to cast all of my care upon God?
D. To be cared for by God means humbling myself…
E. Why do I need to know that God cares for me?
THE DEVIL DESIRES TO DEVOUR ME
A. He is my adversary
1. Adversary = opponent, enemy
2. It is personal
B. What do I do?
1. Be sober = Be of sound mind = Calm and collected in spirit
2. Be vigilant = Be watchful
3. Resist him = Withstand him (to be firm against)
4. Steadfast in the faith = like a weed with tough roots resisting being pulled up
GOD’S CARE PROVIDES LIFE AFTER SUFFERING
A. I may suffer for a while
B. However, after the suffering God, Himself, will
1. Perfect me = Putting all my parts into the right order (mending nets)
2. Establish me = To make me stable, to make me firm
3. Strengthen me = To make me strong
4. Settle me = To ground me securely
C. Do not focus on the suffering. Focus on what comes after the suffering
