ANNOUNCEMENTS:
- Church School Teacher are in preparation for our Resurrection Sunday program April 5, 2026. Your child will receive a speech or a part in the program from one of the church school teachers. If they haven’t, please see Sister Pat Matthews or Sister Rubye Jones.
- Attention All Church Leaders and Church School Teachers. At our Quarterly Leadership Meeting on February 14th, the Ministry of Christian Education shared the requirements to serve in each Leadership Role in the church. It is the immediate expectation that all leaders and teachers are engaged in being equipped to lead. If you have any questions regarding the requirements, please see the Chairperson of the Ministry of Christian Education, Sister Rubye Jones, or any other member of the ministry.
- Children's church is every 3rd Sunday of the month. Children 12 and under can go to the fellowship hall basement after Sunday School for children's church at 9:15am. Children will return before service is completed. The next service is on March 15th. The Youth Department March Fellowship will be postponed. The next fellowship will be April 18th. Thank you!
- Attention All Men: Please join us for our Monthly Fellowship Breakfast on Saturday, March 14th at 9am. We invited you for conversation and to continue our study from the No Regrets Conference in February. Please see Deacons John Reid or Robert LaGrant with any questions.
- The Leroy B. Mixon Institute will be held on Saturday, March 28th. The Institute will be facilitated by Dr. William H. Hardy, retired Professor of Philosophy at Tennessee State University. He earned his doctoral degree at Drew University and is an Ordained Elder in the African Episcopal Church. His Book, How Africans Shaped Biblical History: The Descendants of Ham , focuses on a historical background for an African-centered perspective in the Hebrew and Greek Scriptures. We will have a Welcoming Reception starting at 930am, with the Institute to start at 10am. The entire congregation is invited and all church leaders and teachers are required to attend.
- The Lenten Services will be held on each Wednesday through Wednesday, April 1st at 7:00 pm held at Progressive Baptist Church, 8324 West Keefe Avenue. The theme for this year “Hope and Help for a Hungry and Hurting World”. Pastor D will preach on Wednesday, April 1st. Good Friday Service is Friday April 3, 2026, at 12:00 pm held at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 2207 North 2nd Street. All Bible Study Classes will be suspended and resume on April 7th & 9th.
- Love fellowship? Enjoy helping things come together? Our Events Ministry is growing, and we’re looking for members (youth & seasoned) to help make church events welcoming, joyful, and well-organized. From planning and setup to hospitality and cleanup, there are many ways to get involved—no experience required! If you're interested, please reach out to our Ministry Leaders: Sis. Claudia Reid or Sis. Connie Dallas or stop in during one of our meetings. The next meeting is on 03/09/2026 at 5:30pm in person. Come be part of the team that helps create moments of connection!
- In 2027, PRMBC will celebrate 75 years of ministry, fellowship, and faith—and we want you to be part of it! The Events Ministry is forming a 75th Anniversary Sub-Committee to help plan events and activities that honor where we’ve been and celebrate where God is leading us next. We’re looking for members (youth & seasoned) with a passion for planning, creativity, organization, history, communications, or simply a desire to serve. - March is Colorectal Awareness Month! Go Blue for Colon Cancer. Information on this disease and screenings is in the foyer Health Resource Center.
