A. Come in town, go to the synagogue and preach Jesus

B. The Gentiles were more receptive

2. The Gentiles would invite Paul to remain and preach to them
C. Paul went to Philippi  
1. No synagogue
2. To form a synagogue, they needed ten men
3. Women could not form a synagogue

LYDIA AND THE WOMEN

A. Lydia and the women did not wait on the men  
B. Historically, women could not do many things  
C. However, women have always prayed  
1. For their husbands
2. For their “men”
3. For their children
4. For their parents
5. For their communities
6. For all children
7. For humanity
8. Finally, for themselves
D. However, women have always ministered  
1. Lydia Worshipped God
2. Lydia Listened to the Word of God
3. Lydia Opened her heart to receive the Word of God
4. Lydia Ministered the Word of God
