INTRODUCTION
A. We live in a selfish, individualistic, mind-your-own-business world
B. Am I my brother’s keeper?
C. One reason for my liberation is to assist in the liberation of others
D. When a person is in bondage, it is easier to take advantage of them…
E. When we believe in and obey Jesus, we liberate others
LIBERATING OTHERS, GETTING INTO TROUBLE
A. Jesus liberated people who were in bondage
1. Blind man
2. Demon possessed man
3. Lame man
4. Crippled man
5. Blind/Mute demon possessed man
B. Although Jesus liberated people, He got into trouble
1. Blind man --- They rejected it because it was on the Sabbath
2. Demon possessed man --- They asked Him to leave
3. Lame man --- They attempted to kill Him
4. Crippled man --- They were filled with rage
5. Blind/Mute demon possessed man --- Accused of demonic powers
C. Are we liberating others?
1. When we liberate others, people reject us and ask us to leave
2. When we liberate others, we are accused of having other motives
LIBERATING OTHERS, GETTING INTO TROUBLE FOR JESUS
A. They are angry with Jesus and Lazarus
B. People will become angry with us and the ones that we liberate
C. However, Jesus is with us…
1. How do we know? He promised

D. Jesus knows that we will get into trouble for liberating others
EXPECTING GREATER THINGS FOR OTHERS…
A. The Cross and the Butterfly
B. They crucified Jesus because He Broke the Rules, Spoke the Truth,
and Liberated Others
C. What would you want someone to do if it were you?
CHALLENGE FOR THE WEEK: THAT I WILL OBEY JESUS, EVEN IF IT MEANS LIBERATING OTHERS AND GETTING INTO TROUBLE
