TEXT: JOHN 11:1-44
“JESUS, I LOVE CALLING YOUR NAME”
LAZARUS IS SICK
A. We ask the question, “Jesus, do you care?”
B. Sometimes, it feels like Jesus does not care…
“HE CARES FOR YOU”
JESUS IS THE RESURRECTION
A. You do not have to wait until you die to experience the resurrection.
B. Establish a relationship with Jesus – He will resurrect you from a spiritual
death, and you will live today
C. How? Because of His shed blood
1. Heb. 9:22, “…without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness of sin.”
2. Since Adam and Eve, people offered bulls, goats and lambs to atone for their sins – these sacrifices could only cover their sins
3. John the Baptist, “Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of
the world – His Blood
“THANK GOD FOR THE BLOOD”
LAZARUS IS RESURRECTED
A. Jesus wants to give you new life – in the life to come – and right now
B. You feel that you have done too much for too long and there is no way to recover… Jesus can stop the death process you feel you are on, reverse it and
restore you to new life
C. It is by His Spirit… empowering us – transforming us – sustaining us – I AM, BY
HIS SPIRIT…
“YOUR SPIRIT”
JESUS IS RESURRECTED
A. “How can Jesus do all of this?” He already has through His death, burial,
resurrection and ascension
B. Romans 5:8, “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while
we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
“NO GREATER LOVE”
ONE DAY, JESUS WILL RETURN FOR US
“WE SHALL BEHOLD HIM”
