TITLE: WHEN THE HAND OF GOD IS ON ME

GOD TAKES CONTROL

  1. God opened Ezekiel’s mouth. Why?
  2. In Ezekiel 3:22-27, God closed Ezekiel’s mouth
    1. The hand of the Lord as upon Ezekiel
    2. God, “I will make you unable to speak)”
    3. “…and unable to rebuke (warn) them,      “They are rebellious”
    4. “I will give you words to say, ‘Those who choose to listen will

listen, but those who refuse will refuse.’“  “They are rebellious”

  1. When the hand of God is on me, God takes control…
    1. God will close my mouth when He wants it closed…
    2. God will open my mouth when He wants it open…

GOD REVEALS HIMSELF

  1. Last week, the revelation was visible
  2. Today, the revelation is verbal
  3. Whether visible or verbal, the revelation is just as significant

GOD DESIRES THAT I JOIN HIM

  1. Last week, God desired that Ezekiel see what He saw…
  2. Today, God desired that Ezekiel says what He says…
  3. The people were saying, “Abraham was only one, and he inherited the

land. But we are many; the land has been given to us as a possession.”  

  1. God, “Ezekiel, You tell them that I said…”
    1. You eat meat with blood in it
    2. You worship idols Should you then possess the land?
    3. You commit murder
  2. God, “Ezekiel, You tell them that I said…”
    1. You rely on your sword
    2. You commit abominations Should you then possess the land?
    3. You commit adultery
  3. God, “Ezekiel, You tell them that I said…”
    1. Those in the ruins shall die by the sword                           Then
    2. Those in open fields will be eaten by wild animals         they shall
    3. Those in forts and caves will die of disease                       know that
    4. I will make the land a desolation/waste, her pride           I am
    5. will cease, no one will pass through the mountains         the LORD
  1. God desires that we say what He says
