EZEKIEL 8:1-6

INTRODUCTION

1. Increased Intimacy with God
2. What is the hand of God?
   1. Hand = yäd = open hand
   2. Hand = strength / power
3. What does it mean for the hand of God to be on me?
4. We do not decide when, where and how the hand of God is on us

GOD TAKES CONTROL

1. He stretched out what seemed to be a hand
2. Took me by my hair
3. The Spirit lifted me up into the air
4. And carried me to Jerusalem
5. When the hand of God is on me, God takes control…

GOD REVEALS HIMSELF

1. Ezekiel 8:2, 4
   1. From His waist down, like the appearance of fire
   2. From His waist up, like the appearance of brightness, like the color of amber
   3. The glory of the God of Israel was there, like the vision in the plain
2. Ezekiel 3:22, 23
   1. Then the hand of the Lord was upon me there, and He said to me, “Arise, go out into the plain, and there I shall talk with you.”
   2. So I arose and went out into the plain, and behold, the glory of the Lord stood there, like the glory which I saw by the River Chebar; and I fell on my face.

1. Ezekiel 1:27, 28
   1. From His waist up, I saw the color of amber with the appearance of fire all around within it
   2. From His waist down, I saw the appearance of fire with brightness all around
   3. There was the appearance of the brightness all around, like the

appearance of a rainbow in a cloud on a rainy day

1. When the hand of God is on me, God reveals Himself…

GOD DESIRES THAT I JOIN HIM

1. God desired that Ezekiel see what He saw…
2. God desires that we see what He sees…
