INTRODUCTION

1. What makes something special?
2. How do we respond when we have determined that something is special?
3. Can I honestly say that Jesus is special to me?
   1. If not, why?
   2. If yes, how can He become more special to me?

JESUS IS THE LAMB OF GOD

1. Lambs were used as the sacrifice at the Passover Feast
2. Jesus is the Sacrificial Lamb
3. Jesus is the Conquering Lamb
4. What’s so special about Jesus? He died so I will not have to

JESUS TOOK AWAY THE SIN OF THE WORLD

1. The lamb bore the consequence of the sin of the people
2. Example: Adam and Eve (Gen 3:21)
3. The blood of other animals could not take away sins (Heb 10:4-10)
4. How did Jesus take away my sin? He bore them on the cross
5. 1 Peter 2:24
6. Isaiah 53:6, 7
7. What’s so special about Jesus? I can live without the burden of sin

JESUS REVEALS HIMSELF TO ME

1. John and Jesus were cousins
2. John had a physical relationship with Jesus
3. Jesus revealed Himself to establish a spiritual relationship
4. Many of us have a physical relationship with Jesus
5. How has Jesus revealed Himself to you?
6. Have you established a spiritual relationship with Jesus?
7. What’s so special about Jesus? I can know Him personally and intimately

CHALLENGE FOR THE WEEK: THAT I WILL TAKE THE TIME TO BUILD A SPECIAL RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS
