A. Paul makes a personal investment in Onesimus’ life  
B. A personal investment in someone else’s life…?!?!?!  
C. Paul saw something in Onesimus that Philemon did not see  

RECEIVE HIM AS YOU WOULD RECEIVE ME

A. Onesimus was a runaway slave  
B. Paul was a well-respected apostle – imprisoned for Christ
C. Paul, “Receive him as you would receive me.”

IF HE OWES YOU ANYTHING, CHARGE ME

A. It was not a matter of “If” Onesimus owed Philemon…  
B. Paul was willing to use his personal influence  
C. Paul was willing to stand with Onesimus  
D. Paul was willing to stand in between Onesimus and Philemon

DO NOT FORGET, YOU OWE ME YOURSELF

A. Washing face versus cleansing conscience  
B. “Every saint has a past, and every sinner has a future”  
C. “Pay it forward”  

DO IT FOR ME

A. Not for legal reasons…  
B. Not for moral reasons…
C. Not for spiritual reasons…
D. “Do it for me…”
