TITLE: EXERCISING FAITH OVER FEAR
INTRODUCTION
A. God desires that you go to a place you have never gone
B. God desires that you do something you have never done
C. God said,
1. Be Strong
2. Be Courageous
3. Do not be Afraid
4. Do not be Discouraged
5. I have given you the victory…
D. What is the difference between 4 and 2? God’s Favor: The Difference between
God doing it for you and God doing it to you
AS GOD WAS DOING IT TO THE FIVE KINGS…
A. The five kings fled and hid in a cave
B. Joshua,
1. Roll large stones against the mouth of the cave and set men to guard it
2. Do not stay there, continue to pursue your enemies and attack them from the rear
3. Do not allow them to enter their cities
GOD WAS DOING IT FOR JOSHUA AND THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL
A. Joshua said what God said
1. The Lord your God has given you victory
2. Do not be Afraid
3. Do not be Discouraged
4. Be Strong
5. Be Courageous
B. The Children of Israel saw what God said
1. Joshua brought the five kings out of the cave
2. Joshua called for the commanders to come forward
3. Joshua told the commanders to put their feet on the necks of the kings
4. Joshua killed the kings
GOD IS DOING IT FOR YOU
A. Tell others what God said
1. The Lord your God has given you victory
2. Do not be Afraid
3. Do not be Discouraged
4. Be Strong
5. Be Courageous
B. So that they can see what God said
