GIVE US

A. Give “Us”…“Our”
1. Takes prayer out of the realm of the individual
2. When “I” pray, I am thinking about “Our
B. This day… daily…  
1. Living in the Present
2. Every day God provides
a. Psalm 145:15, 16, 15 The eyes of all look expectantly to You,
And You give them their food in due season. 16 You open Your hand And satisfy the desire of every living thing.
b. Proverbs 10:3, The Lord does not let the righteous go hungry,
but he thwarts the craving of the wicked. (NRSV)
c. Matthew 6:25, 26 Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?
d. Romans 8:32, 32 He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?
C. Bread

FORGIVE US

A. Forgive = Release
B. Debts = A wrong which requires satisfaction  
C. As we = Just as  
D. Forgive = Have released (Asserts that something is occurring while the speaker

is making the statement)  

GET US

A. Temptation = tempting, testing, trial
1. God does not tempt us – God tests us
2. Testing matures us
B. Get us through / out of / away from / [liberate] the evil of the evil one  

CHALLENGE FOR THE WEEK: THAT THE LORD’S PRAYER WILL BE A PART OF NURTURING MY RELATIONSHIP WITH THE FATHER
