TITLE: MENDING THE BROKEN

INTRODUCTION

A. What is the relationship between bondage and brokenness?

B. Can I be in a little bondage (which means that I am a little broken)?

C. What is the relationship between cracked and broken?

1. “It’s just a little cracked.”

2. Is cracked broken?

WHAT WENT WRONG?

A. Living among the dead

B. Bound by chains and shackles

C. Cannot be tamed

D. Walking among the dead, and howling day and night

E. Cutting himself

F. The longer one remains in bondage, the more broken one becomes

WHAT WENT RIGHT?

A. The man is sitting

B. The man is clothed

C. The man is in his right mind

D. The man went home and told others about Jesus

MEETING JESUS [AGAIN]

A. Seeing Jesus from a distance

1. How did he know that it was Jesus?

2. Do you see Jesus?

3. How will I know that it is Jesus?

4. I must be able to see and know Jesus in unconventional ways

B. Running to Jesus

C. Worshipping Jesus

D. Meeting Jesus [Again] sets me free from bondage

E. Meeting Jesus [Again] mends my brokenness

CHALLENGE FOR THE WEEK:

THAT I WILL BELIEVE THAT JESUS WILL SET ME FREE FROM MY BONDAGE AND HEAL ME OF MY BROKENNESS
