INTRODUCTION
A. It is easier for me to see your problems than my own… ​
B. Projection = people defend themselves against their own unconscious impulses or qualities (both positive and negative) by denying their existence in themselves
while attributing them to others ​
SOMETIMES, PEOPLE WILL HURT YOU AS PART OF THEIR PLAN TO HURT SOMEONE ELSE
A. They caught her in the act… ​
1. How did they catch her in the act?
2. Where was the man? (Leviticus 20:10)
B. She was set up and used ​
1. She was set up by the religious leaders…?
2. She was set up by the man…?
3. She was paid off…?
4. They had no regard for her
C. It was all about setting Jesus up ​
D. People will set us up and use us ​
1. By those who are supposed to be helping us
2. By those who are supposed to be loving us
3. By those who take advantage of our unfortunate situation
THE SET-UP BECOMES A SET-STRAIGHT
A. Jesus, “Whoever is without sin throw the first stone…” ​
1. Not perfection / not sinless
2. Matthew 12:38, 39
3. Romans 2:22
B. Throwing rocks at myself ​
C. Although she had sinned; they had also sinned ​
D. Jesus did not condemn her, Jesus forgave her ​
CHALLENGE FOR THE WEEK:
THAT I WILL RECEIVE THE FORGIVENESS OF JESUS AND LIVE MY LIFE
