INTRODUCTION: ARE YOU IN BONDAGE ON TODAY?

1. The psychological bondage of North American slavery…
2. Spirit of Infirmity                                                            
   1. Demonic Possession
   2. Externally Imposed Demons
   3. Self Imposed Demons
3. Could not straighten up at all For 18 years
   1. She had gotten used to it
   2. This is the way that it had been, and the way it wil always be…
4. Somebody here today…

GOOD NEWS

1. Jesus saw her…                                                            
2. Jesus spoke to her…                                                            
3. Jesus touched her… Immediately she straightened up, glorified God
4. Our challenge to See, Speak and Touch…
   1. Note: She never asked Jesus to set her free…
   2. Maybe, she did not know that she was in bondage…
   3. Maybe, she did not know how to get out of bondage

BAD NEWS

1. The ruler of the synagogue became indignant
   1. Some people cannot appreciate that others are set free
   2. Therefore, they hold on to rituals, traditions, etc.
   3. Therefore, they keep secrets and establish “special rules”
2. Some people desire to keep you in bondage
   1. It is easier to control a person who is in bondage
   2. It is easier to keep a person down when they are in bondage
   3. We live in a dualistic world…

BETTER NEWS

1. “Hypocrite!”
   1. Each of you on the Sabbath sets your ox or donkey free to drink
   2. Everyone wants good things for them and their family
2. So ought not this woman
   1. A daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has bound, for 18 years
   2. Should we not want everyone to be set free?
3. Anyone not happy for you when God is doing something good for you,

wants for you to remain in bondage….                                           

CHALLENGE FOR THE WEEK: I WILL TRUST GOD, AND THOSE HE SENDS, TO REVEAL MY BONDAGE(S), AND SET ME FREE
