INTRODUCTION
A. Can you pat your head and rub your belly?
B. Can you say, “No, no, no, no, no.” while nodding, “Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes?”
C. For many, that is what love is like…
D. Love is better felt than heard
E. God’s love versus God’s promises
AT THE RIGHT TIME
A. At the right time
1. Time = chronos
2. Time = kairos
B. When is the right time?
C. The phrase, “He may not come when you want Him, but He’s right on time” is bad theology
D. Why? Because “God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble.” (Psalm 46:1)
E. God’s love versus our time
IN OUR WORST MOMENT
A. In our worst moment
B. Which is when we are most vulnerable and open for abuse and manipulation
C. Is Jesus your first option or last resort?
D. Who are you willing to die for?
E. Jesus said,
1. Most people would not be willing to die for an upright person
2. Although, someone might perhaps be willing to die for a person who is especially good.
F. Who are you willing to die for?
G. God’s love versus our condition
GOD DEMONSTRATES HIS LOVE
A. But = forget what I just said…
B. God
C. Demonstrates = is constantly proving
D. His own love for us
E. While we were still sinners, Christ died for us
