B. Jesus did tell us to love the Father with our heart, mind, soul and strength

C. Jesus did tell us to love our neighbor as ourselves

D. Jesus did tell us to love one another as He has loved us

E. Why did Jesus not tell us to love Him?

ANSWER #1

A. Jesus told us to love the Father with all of our heart, mind, soul and strength. Are we?

B. Jesus told us to love our neighbor as our self. Are we?

C. Jesus told us to love one another as He has loved us. Are we?

D. We may be saying it. However, are we doing it?

E. If Jesus told us to love the Father with all of our heart, mind, soul and strength (and some of us are not), and He told us to love our neighbor as our self (and some of us are not) and He told us to love one another as He has loved us (and some of us are not), Why would He tell us to love Him and expect that we would do it?

ANSWER #2

A. Jesus never told us, “Love Me” because He knew that we would just say it.

Rather, Jesus wants us to show Him that we love Him.

D. [IF] he/she who has My commandments and keeps them, is he/she who loves Me (John 14:21)
