TEACHER, WHICH IS THE GREAT COMMANDMENT IN THE LAW?
A. Which

B. Breaking ANY commandment has the same consequence as breaking EVERY commandment:
1. Deuteronomy 27:26 26 ‘Cursed is the one who does not confirm all the words of this law by observing them.’“And all the people shall say, ‘Amen!’ ”
2. Jeremiah 11:3, 4 ...‘Thus says the Lord God of Israel: “Cursed is the man who does not obey the words of this covenant. ... 4 ‘Obey My voice, and do according to all that I command you; so shall you be My people, and I will be your God.
3. Galatians 3:10 ’10... for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things which are written in the book of the law, to do them.”
4. Galatians 5:3 3 And I testify again to every man who becomes circumcised that he is a debtor to keep the whole law.
5. James 2:10, 11 10 For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all. 11 For He who said, “Do not commit adultery,” also said, “Do not murder.”guilty of all. ” Now if you do not commit adultery, but you do murder, you have become a transgressor of the law.
JESUS’ ANSWER
A. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment.
1. All your Heart (kardia) – Love for God must fill our whole heart [The seat of our thoughts, passions, desires, appetites, affections, purposes]
2. All your Soul (psyche) – Love for God must fill our whole soul [The vital force which animates our body and displays itself in our feelings and desires]
3. All you Mind (dianoia) – Love for God must fill our whole mind [Our understanding, our thinking, our will]
4. It is the complete dedication of our entire inner being to God
B. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’
C. On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets
D. As I walk in my authority
1. Am I honoring every command of God with a love for God and a love for others?
2. Am I loving God with my entire inner being
