TITLE: CONSCIOUS AND INTENTIONAL MINISTRY IN THE MOMENT

INTRODUCTION

A.  Jesus is leaving Jericho, on His way to Jerusalem…

1.  In Jerusalem, He will be condemned to the cross
2. Jesus will never pass through Jericho again

B.  2 blind men heard that Jesus was passing by…

1.  How do you hear that Jesus is passing by?
2. How do you experience Jesus through all of your senses

C.  What is Ministry in the Moment?

WHAT DO I REALLY WANT?

A.  “What do I want?”

1. 2 blind men, “Have mercy on us”
2. “Bless me”
3. “Pray for me”

B.  “What do I really want”

1. What is my primary need / challenge / temptation?
2. Example
3. Why do I really want it?

HOW BAD DO I REALLY WANT IT?

A.  What am I willing to dismiss from my life?

B.  Who am I willing to dismiss from my life?

C.  Jesus gets out attention by causing us to realize that He is the only one  who has what we need…

FROM COMPASSION TO ACTION

A.  Jesus had compassion

B.  Jesus touched them

C.  They followed Jesus
