PRAISE GOD FOR THIS WORSHIP CELEBRATION
I just want to praise you forever, and ever, and ever
for all you've done for me.
Blessings and glory and honor, they all belong to you.
Thank you Jesus for blessing me
Praise God that He has blessed us to celebrate this First Worship Service in our new church campus.
It has been a long and arduous journey from the time that we closed on January 30, 2015. We have had many challenges, obstacles and potential obstructions. However, in every step of this faith journey, God has shown Himself faithful. God has shown His mighty, working hand, and has given us favor with – literally – everyone with whom we have had to encounter to complete this work.
My praise and thanksgiving goes to God who provided the vision, and placed it into the hearts of those who carried out the work. I can truly say that my faith in God has matured, my love for God has deepened and my commitment to the call of God in my life has strengthened. My resolve to fulfill His will for this city has never been stronger, and my understanding of why He has planted us here has never been clearer.
My praise and thanksgiving goes to those of you who have sacrificed many hours of your time, energy, creativity and expertise to the labor of this great work. As well, this campus will eternally bear the soil of your blood, sweat and tears – literally. A part of you is indelibly etched into this campus, and you will continue to contribute to God’s ministry of transformation and liberation for generations to come.
My praise and thanksgiving goes to the spouses and families of those who made the aforementioned sacrifices. Were it not for your patience and understanding, this work would not have been completed.
Finally, my praise and thanksgiving goes to all of those who have gone before us and laid the foundation upon which we build. We pause to remember Pastor C. V. Harrington. We pause to honor Pastor Leroy B. Mixon. We pause to celebrate with those who started on 9th and Brown and transitioned to 8th and Wright (April 22nd, 1962), to Sherman and Roosevelt (May 1st, 1980) and to 38th and Keefe (December 11th 2016).
