Expecting Greater Things for Others

EXPECTING GREATER THINGS FOR OTHERS
On today, we conclude this series on Expecting Greater Things For Others. One of the goals of this series was to identify groups for which we tend not to expect greater things. We shared:

⧫ Expecting Greater Things For Others – Outsiders
To expect greater things for “Outsiders”, we must work on ourselves. We must over come Arrogance and Pride; Jealousy and Envy; Rigidity and Complacency; Control and Insecurity. As we overcome our challenges, we can more easily see what God is doing for the Kingdom.

⧫ Expecting Greater Things For Others – Rejecters
To expect greater things for “Rejecters”, we must understand that our mission is to save lives and not to destroy them. As we accomplish this, we learn to separate who the person is from what the person has done. As well, we learn to hate the sin, but love the person.

⧫ Expecting Greater Things For Others – Protectors
To expect greater things for “Protectors”, we must begin to see people different from the way that we have traditionally seen them. We must begin to realize that God has granted us access to certain people and things so that we can assist others in acquiring that same access.

Remember, as we Expect Greater Things For Others, it will push us outside of our comfort zones. As well, to Expect Greater Things For Others, means doing things that are not comfortable to the flesh. To Expect Greater Things For Others means making decisions that some may call ‘foolish’ or ‘ridiculous.’ It means following the leading of the Holy Spirit even when (and sometimes especially when) it goes against every fiber of our human, rational being. It means being like Jesus. Everything that Jesus did was designed to accomplish greater things for us. Additionally, everything that Jesus is still doing is designed to accomplish greater things for us. Are we ministering to accomplish greater things for others?
