HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!

• SISTER CIRCLE meets on Mondays at 6:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall.

• CHURCH ANNIVERSARY WEEKEND:

On Saturday, May 17, 2025, from 12:00PM - 4:00PM, please come help us celebrate 73 years of Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church and to introduce our Executive Pastor, Dr. Demetria C. McCroskey to the community as we block off North 38th Street. Bring your family and friends as we plan to have food, skating for the kids, games, fellowship and safety tips from the Milwaukee Fire Department. Also, we will have a table for Vacation Bible School where everyone could sign up.

• NO MENTHOL SUNDAY, May 18th,“Clearing the way” A call to action to highlight the detrimental impact of commercial menthol tobacco products on our Black communities.

• SOFTBALL SEASON is open once again. 1st practice will be Sunday, May 18 @3 pm at Madison Park, 9800 West Glendale Ave.

• VBS 2025 “God’s Laboratory” (John 15:11) Fusing elements for explosive joy! July 21-25, 2025, from 6pm-8pm nightly. We are looking for volunteers to help in all areas. If you are interested, please see one of the following: Sisters Connie Dallas, Mary Euell or Sam Alexander

 

COMMUNITY ANNOUNCEMENTS:

• Celebrate! Victory Baptist Church will celebrate their 30th Year Church Anniversary, beginning Friday, May 30th with a Reunion Musical, Saturday, May 31st Banquet and Sunday, June 1st. Call the church office for more details.

• Our domestic violence hotline and text line, available24/7/365

• Sojourner’s 53-bed emergency shelter, which offers a safe respite for women, children and men fleeing domestic violence

• Support groups and healing services for adults and children who have been exposed to domestic violence

• Case management services, including establishing safe housing, accessing childcare, employment support, counseling services and healthcare referrals

• Assistance with restraining orders and civil legal services

• Access to a strong network of legal, healthcare, and social services providers, many conveniently located on-site within the Family Peace Center
