INTRODUCTION
A. God desires to bring me to my promised land
B. God may have to move and/or remove people and things to do it
C. God does it because God loves me
WHEN GOD BRINGS ME TO ...
A. God clears away the “ites”
1. Hittites, Girgashites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites, Jebusites,
2. Who are your “ites”?
B. Hands the “Ites” over to me
C. I shall conquer and destroy them
D. Do not go back to those from whom God has delivered you
1. Make no covenants with them
2. Show no mercy to them
3. Make no marriages with them
4. Destroy their altars, break down their sacred pillars, cut down their wooden images and burn their carved images
E. Why do we go back?
BECAUSE GOD LOVES ME
A. I am a holy person to the LORD
B. The LORD, my God has chosen me for Himself
C. I am the LORD’s special treasure
D. The Lord did not set His love on me nor choose me because I am more or have more because I have less
1. The LORD set His love on me
2. The LORD chose me
3. Not because of me
E. Rather, because the LORD loves me, and keeps His promises made to my ancestors
THEREFORE,
A. I will know that the LORD, my God...
1. He is God
2. He is the faithful God
3. He keeps His covenant and mercy for a thousand generations...
B. I will know that repays those who hate Him to their face to destroy them
C. I will observe the LORD’s commandments, statues and judgments
