ANNOUNCEMENTS:
• MEEP (Milwaukee Exposure Explorer Project) will sponsor a Summer Tutoring Program. The session will begin on Tuesday, July 8th thru Thursday, August 7th, 2025, at 3434 North 38th Street. If you have children that can use this help please contact Sister Lillie Simmons, 414-943-1938 to register.
• VBS 2025 “God’s Laboratory” (John 15:11) Fusing elements for explosive joy! July 21-25, 2025, from 6pm-8pm nightly. We are looking for volunteers to help in all areas. If you are interested, please see one of the following: Sisters Connie Dallas, Mary Euell or Sam Alexander. Sign up sheets are now available at either entrance.
• SCHOOL SUPPLIES DRIVE! Summer is a short season and It’s time for us to begin gathering supplies for our children. You can help by bringing in pencils, pens, crayons, markers, folders, loose leaf paper, erasers, spiral notebooks, pencil cases, book bags, etc.. There will be a container at each entrance beginning Sunday, July 20th.
• On July 20, 2025, we will have our annual Praise in the Park at Washington Park, Area 7. The address is 1859 N. 40th Street, and the best route is to enter off North 40th Street into the parking lot. There is also street parking on the West Vliet side. Sunday School will start at 9am and will transition into service. Please bring your family and friends to come out and fellowship with us! The sign-up sheets are at both entrances of the church. If you have any questions about the Praise in the Park, please see any member of the Events Ministry.
•ATTENTION ALL MEN: Please meet us in the Church Parking Lot at 7am on next Sunday, July 20th to prepare for our Praise at the Parking Lot. We will load the truck and leave for Washington Park to prepare for Church School and Worship Service at 9am. Please see Deacons Reid or LaGrant with any questions.
• THE YOUTH DEPARTMENT will host its annual Summer Reunion on Friday, August 1st. We are looking to see all of our young adults age 18 and over in the Youth Fellowship Wing at 6pm for a time of fellowship and reconnection. Please see Deacon Robert or Sister Lynne LaGrant with any questions.
• On August 30, 2025, Pilgrim Rest will host an appreciation celebration for Rev. & Sis. Thresessa Childs at the Masonic Northwest Center. The address is 4315 N. 92nd Street. This event will start at 5:00PM. The sign-up sheets are at both entrances of the church. There is limited space so please sign up as soon as possible. Non-members are $10.

• The Sisterhood Ministry of Tabernacle Baptist Church is planning an overnight Sisterhood Retreat on September 19-20, 2025, and they are inviting the women of Pilgrim Rest to join them. The Retreat will be held at Green Lake Conference Center located in Green Lake, Wisconsin. The Theme is “Sister Growing and Rooted in Christ”, the Scripture is Colossians 2:6-7, and the speaker is Bishop Cheryl Brown, Pastor of Believers in Christ Church.
