TITLE: GIVE IT TO GOD: GOD HAS A PLAN
INTRODUCTION
A. We say that we are people of faith
B. Our Task
1. Discern God’s will
2. Fulfill God’s will
3. Remain Faithful to God’s will (especially when confronted with obstacles [things in the way], and opposition [people in the way])
GOD WILL SET YOU UP
A. God intentionally led them in a roundabout way through the wilderness towards the Red Sea
B. God intentionally told them where to camp (which was not the best place to be)
C. God intentionally hardened Pharaoh’s heart (so that he would pursue them)
SO THAT GOD CAN SHOW OUT
A. God had a plan
1. “I will gain honor over Pharaoh and over all his army “
2. “That the Egyptians may know that I am the Lord”
3. Moses told the plan to God’s people
B. God has a plan
C. Pharaoh had a plan
1. Assemble his massive army, pursue Israel and bring them back
2. Pharaoh found God’s people exactly where God placed them
D. The enemy has a plan
E. The people saw Pharaoh’s plan unfold and forgot about God’s plan
F. We see the enemy’s plan unfold and forget about God’s plan
G. “Moses, what should they do?”
1. Do not be afraid
2. Stand still and watch God save you
3. God will fight for you
4. Just stay calm
