INTRODUCTION
A. Whose side is God on?
B. Why would God choose to be on my side?
C. Who is on God’s side?
D. Why would I not choose to be on God’s side?
THE ANGEL TOLD JOSEPH!!! (Matthew 1:18-21)
A. Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.
B. And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus
1. Jesus = Joshua
2. Jesus = Jehovah is Salvation
C. For He will save His people from their sins.
THE ANGEL TOLD THE JOSEPH???? (Matthew 1:18-21)
A. Joseph was a carpenter
B. Joseph was lesser educated
C. Joseph is a newly married husband
D. Joseph’s first son is born, And laid in a manger (in a barn, feeding trough)”
1. Cows mooing, sheep bleating, donkeys braying, chickens cackling
2. The smell of animal dung and urine combined with stale straw
3. Insects and spiders flying and crawling around
WHY WAS GOD BORN, THE WAY THAT HE WAS BORN?
A. To be able to understand me
B. To be able to identify with me
C. To know it is not where you came from, it is where you are going.
D. To know it is not where you started, it is where you finish
