JESUS DID IT FOR ME…
AM I DOING IT FOR OTHERS?
Most of us tent to be very clear regarding the assistance that we may need to accomplish a task. We rely on others to support and assist us, and when they do not, we become frustrated and upset.
Likewise, if a tragedy were to occur in our lives, most of us would anticipate that those who say that they love us would come to our aid. We expect it… and when that expectation is not fulfilled, we are hurt and offended.
I want to challenge us on today to ask ourselves the question, “What is my expectation for how I should support, assist, aid and rescue others?” How is God desiring that I use what He has given to me, and how He has gifted me to be in ministry and service to others?
Please meditate on the following quote from Martin Niemöller
First they came for the communists, and I did not speak out - because I was not a communist;
Then they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out –
because I was not a socialist;
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out - because I was not a trade unionist;
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out –
because I was not a Jew;
Then they came for me –
and there was no one left to speak out for me.
