Family Day Weekend
Family Day is soon approaching! This year, the Events Ministry will be hosting our Annual Chili & Desert Bake Off on Saturday, October 19, 2024. We would like everyone to attend, fellowship, laugh and most importantly, try the different chili’s and deserts! Sign-up sheets are at both entrances of the church. Please
note: there is a sign-up sheet for attendees (pink highlight) and one to enter the competition (green highlight). Additionally, you can use this link to sign-up: https://bit.ly/PRMBCcookoff24
If you are entering into the competition, please have your item to the church by 1:30pm in a crockpot/warmer. Each entry would need to have a list of ingredients to accompany each item.
On Sunday, October 20, 2024, Pilgrim Rest Goes PINK for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. We ask that everyone wear pink (all shades are welcome) as we worship in the parking lot. If you'd like, please bring your comfy lawn chairs.
Men's Appreciation Day
SAVE THE DATE! The women of Pilgrim Rest will host lunch for the men to show how much we appreciate all of you on Sunday, November 17, 2024, immediately after service. For the Men's Appreciation that if any women would
like to volunteer to help, to see Sisters Claudia Reid or Connie Dallas. Sign-up sheets are to follow.
SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT:
We are invited by Bishop Daniel Wandabula to travel to Uganda, Africa in mid-March of 2025. A detailed itinerary is not complete and no costs have been calculated as of yet. This is the initial notification so you can begin praying and saving.
Following are some activities being considered:
Uganda- Experience Uganda including a visit to the source of the Nile River,
stand on the equator, opportunities for ministry and personal interactions and
relationship building.
Burundi- Bishop Daniel will consecrate a new Bishop in Burundi, Africa for the
Burundi Episcopal Area.
Kenya-We will plan a safari at Masai Mara National Reserve in Kenya, Africa.
MINISTRY LEADERS: Your Goals Sheets are due in by October 27th. For those who have email, the sheet will be sent to your email. If you don’t have email or need a hard copy, call the office.
Women of Pilgrim Rest – Come out and be a part of tidying up our Sanctuary. We are looking at Nov. 9th @9 am. Call the office if you would like to participate.
