TITLE: Take Care of ALL Your Kids
Introduction:
Blended families date back to the beginning of time. Abraham is one of the earliest examples we have of a father, who has multiple children by multiple women. While at the start, in Genesis the story of Hagar and Ishmael takes a unique turn, Genesis 21, as the dynamics of Abraham, Sarah, and Hagar’s story intensify with the God-promised addition to the family, Isaac. Yet, here in Chronicles, Ishmael, his descendants and even the additional children of the concubine Keturah are included in the genealogy. Today, we embrace the call as a community to encourage fathers regarding the importance of genealogy, legacy and taking care of ALL your kids.

- Theological Truth Exposed: Fathers are called to embrace and nurture each child, recognizing their unique stories and contributions.

From Abraham’s Family to the Holy Family:
- Joseph is recognized as Jesus’ earthly ‘step’father. After Joseph and Mary married, they had other biological children together.
- Jesus’ family demonstrates a blended environment built on mutual protection, care, and fulfilling God's plan, with Joseph actively raising and providing for a child who was not biologically his own.
What’s Next:
- Let us encourage our fathers and sons to be intentional in appreciating and supporting each child in their family, regardless of their origin.
- Fathers should strive to create a loving environment that reflects God’s inclusive love, fostering unity and understanding.
